After some research, i have come to believe that i could be a descendent of the Killey's, Gale's, Gell's and, of course, Gill's of the Isle of Man. I believe that my Great Grand Father Edward, son of Samuel Gell and Margaret Watterson, had a twin, Thomas and an older brother John who left for Australia. Might anybody reading this offer information that confirms of denies this connection.

My great, great grandpa was (John) William Killey born on 5/25/1837 in Castletown, Isle of Man. He was called William or Willie with 2 older sisters Catherine and Jane and a younger sister Martha. He immigrated in 1861 to Warren County, Illinois when he was 24 yrs old. I have my lineage traced back to John Killey (born around 1677), married to Catherine Crow. John Killey died December 1733.
