im mandy killey1981 daughter of william killey born 1943 he has 2 brothers and tony and 1 deceased brother leslie who died before i was born. dont no much else wil find out about my grandfather now tho as he died before i was born also.my grandmother was margerat who had a sister called kitty

Familysearch.org, we have a James Killey and wife, Eleanor, as parents of James M. Killey and Philp Killey showing the correct age for Dr. Phil Henry Killey.
Found both on separate 1880 Census:
1) James M Killey born 1846 Eng, parents born Isle of Man, location: Teayses, Putman Co, West Virginia, not married worked as school master.
2) Phil Killey(listed as Kelley) born 1848 Eng, parents born Eng, listed as Physician, married, daughters: Mona & Ellen, location: Pearisburg, Giles Co., VA
Here is the best news yet... Mona, shown as being Mona Crellin Killey married Robert Burwell Williamson and her sister, Ellen, married William Garnett Williamson (brother of Robert) and they had a daughter, Eleanor Crellin Williamson.
Now all I need is a death certificate for Philip and would like to find out the fate of James M. Killey.

In the !881 census there is John Killey ag 51 b Jurby, wife Ann Killey ag 48 b Maughold.Joseph Killey son ag 11 b Ballaugh.Elanor Killey daur ag 7. b Ballaugh the other two girls, Margaret Ann Killey b 1864 m J Cain . Katie Killey are not at the address,There is also another family Daniel Killey ag 47 b Jurby who looks to be a brother of John .Daniels wife was Maria Killey b Andreas ag 42.Their family ,Emily M Killey ag 14,Fred W Killey ag 10.David A Killey ag 8,Charles A Killey ag 6.Sarah E Killey ag 2 .Phillip J Killey ag 1 , all born St Anne.also at their house was Catherine A Killey ag 16 , niece of Daniel who could have been Katy Killey.not at home at John & Ann Killeys home.

Just found your Killey site. I have Manx Killey ancestors, and I'm hoping you can help me. My Killy connection is Eleanor Killey, born about 1784 and died 24 Sep 1842 and buried in Braddan old yard. She was the wife of my GGG Grandfather Charles Kaighin. I have no information about her family. By chance do have any other information about my GGG Grandmother? Below is the monumental inscription from Braddan:
Monumental Inscription in Kirk Braddan Old Yard: In memory of Charles Kaighin who died at Brooklyn America 8th Aug 1855 aged 77 years
Also Ellen wife of the above died 24 Sept 1842 aged 58 years
Also the following children of the above
William died 22nd Mar 1809 aged 1 year
William 26th Mar 1812 aged 1 year
Elizabeth 8th Jan 1815 2 months
Catherine 15th April 1818 3 years
John 22nd Apr 1818 10 months
Elizabeth 28th Jan 1836 15 years
Margaret alias Kneale died 11th Mar 1870 aged 58 years
Charles died at Cleaveland America 21st July 1883 aged 59 years
Also in memory of Robert Roberts who died 28th Mar 1887 aged 72 years
Also the undermentioned Catherine Roberts who died 28th March 1888 aged 69 years
Erected by Catherine Roberts wife of the above and daughter of the above Charles and Ellen Kaighin.

My maternal grandmother was a Killey from the IOM.First name something like Fiant. She married Ernest Williams in Liverpool about 1909 and died about 1918. My mother,nee Ethel Williams, told me nothing else

My great grandmother is Isabelle Killey b.1859, daughter of Robert and Margaret (nee Quirk) from Kirk Maughold. Also related to Nightingale's and Teare's.
