I am a niece of Gayle J. Killey, and I have the same information that he has listed in his entry. I started researching the family tree a few years ago and got stuck. If anyone could help us go back further it would be greatly appreciated.

He emmigrated to Little Rock in Kendall County,Illinois, USA. He married Martha Jane Ellis, who was born in Carmel, Putnam county,New York, USA in September 16,1849. They were Married in Little Rock, Kendall county, Illinois, USA.They had five children: Maude,1871; Gayle Burton, 1882; Jqames Eurotus,1876;Mabel, 1887; Ernest James, 1890.

My grandmother was a Killey. I am trying to find more about her, since she died 30 years before I was born. One of her relatives was a guy with the first name of King. King Kelley. Go figure. I will converse more as I learn more. Thank you.

My father, Philip Henry Killey was born August 30 1904, in Peel, Isle of Man. Son of Edward and Eleanor Margaret Killey (formerly Teare). Phil left the Isle of Man enroute to Australia some time in the 1930's. Unfortunately, he was travelling through Canada when the Great Depression hit and he never left. Father met my mother, Edythe Mae Smith, married and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am their only child. My son Daren Robert Killey and his wife, Susannah Killey reside in Alberta. Father had three brothers and three sisters. I believe the following information to be accurate: Jack - daughter Betty Killey (in Peel) Willie - 3 daughters: Jane, Janet and one deceased Bobbie - married Molly - both deceased Katie - never married Mary - married, son Harry Annie - died young, had two sons Stanley and Eddie. Stanley now lives with his wife in the north of the island - no children? I would really like to know our history. Did the Killey's originally come from Scotland? Has anyone traced our ancestry through Church records and how far back can we find records. Thanks to Peter for this opportunity.

I'm looking to try and trace my Manx family tree. My Grandfather's name was William Killey. He lived most of his life in Newcastle upon Tyne. He died around 1960. I think he was in his seventies. I don't know where he was born but I think it was on the Isle of Man.
I'd be grateful for any information.

I have added this log file for anyone wanting to research and maybe contact any of the Killey's from around this world.
Please feel free to sign the log and leave a snippet of information about your research, hopefully we can then build up a database of Killey's.
Peter
